We all second-guess ourselves. No one is a hundred percent confident all the time. At some point we all stop and ask ourselves, “What the hell?”
What are we doing? What are we thinking? Are we even thinking?
Decisions are made every day; choices, commitments, things that can affect our lives. Big or small we all make mistakes, mistakes that can cause us to waver and question our judgments. We can’t predict the future but we can always question the outcome, that’s what ‘what ifs’ are for.
The “I knew it all along” phrase is never reliable. A situation can happen over and over and there’s no way of telling the outcome until you see it through and even then things can change.
I often question myself, more often than I care to admit. I don’t have enough confidence not to ask again and again until I’m satisfied I’ve done what I can and considered every option. I’m reckless to a fault that’s why I have to exercise caution, I’m still not good at it but I’m learning. But even I know and understand that even after all the precautions bad calls are still made and some mistakes are even made twice. It’s what makes living more fun. We learn every time we fall and we’re allowed to fall as many times as we want until we realize what we’re doing wrong. Experience is still the best teacher.
Stupidity is born to everyone some people just handle it better than others. I’m not ashamed to admit that I’m stupid. We all do crazy things and at the same time question our own sanity at one point. Wisdom comes from insight, insight comes from experience and experience sometimes comes from mistakes. The best lessons are often learned through bad experiences. I’m not saying we have to do bad things in order to learn but bad things do happen, we just have to learn how to take the good out of the bad.
