Mabuhay! Greetings from the Philippines!
A week ago I’ve started my 21 days vacation here on the Philippines (after four years I decided to head home hahaha I know I’m an a*). Just a quick recap I flew from Sofia to Prague on Sunday, took a bus from Prague to Brno (which I stayed over for a day) then on Tuesday went back to Prague to catch a flight to Dubai where a plane will take me to the Philippines (dizzy yet?).
The flights were tiring and long with a mixture of nerves and anticipation. It’s been four years, what did I expect really? Nothing much to be honest, but I do miss home (a lot!). Two of the flights were a bit delayed but all in all I was just happy there weren’t any accidents like a plane malfunction or anything.
First night was spent trying to get to know my family again. It was a bit weird considering the circumstances but I managed. And as I lay awake late that night listening to the familiar sounds I missed so much I still couldn’t believe I was really home. The next morning I was greeted with the buzz of my busy family and for a moment I couldn’t make out where I was and what was going on. I could hear people shouting, I thought someone was fighting and they were fighting right outside my room but after my mind cleared I realized I was home (it helped that a chopper passed by at that exact moment) and here shouting was a regular thing.
Second day was spent greeting relatives and neighbors, catching up on who married who and the usual family dramas I missed out on. The night was spent drinking and bonding. Tasting a new blend of alcohol and eating as many local things as I could. Been to a birthday party the other day where I met some more friends and relatives.
Yesterday was spent on the beach. Today will most probably be spent unpacking (much needed unpacking!) and watching the rain.
Ahh, family reunions! It takes a bit of energy to get back into who’s who, that’s for sure. At least, you’ll have some time to relax back into it all and have some fun too, I hope. Enjoy!
i was a little overwhelmed when i got back but i’m fine now… still a little behind on the news but i’m catching up fast
Shouting is totally normal in our household. It does not necessarily equate to anger but all ranges of emotions. Lol. that may be why I’m not intimated nor was it a big deal when somebody shouts, even at me. ha ha. welcome back Isabella!
I’ve tagged you too,

i was really confused my first morning here so i didn’t know what was going on at first but once i got the wind of things it got easier.
lol for the hanson hairstyle. kidding aside it looks good on you and it doesn’t look like a hanson bro hair at all. saw on tv they’re in manila or something.
i’ll try to do the 11 questions soon it looks fun.thanks for the tag and the visit.
I was reminded how chaotic it can get. My family participated in Earth Hour last Saturday and boy, were all my kid cousins so hyper and noisy, the folks had no choice but to be eqaully noisy in an attempt to tame them. LOL
Thanks! You should see when I parted it in the middle, I look pogi. Hahaha.
Yeah, they were in Manila last Friday, I think.
I’ll await your answers
